Born in 1933, debuted in 1970: Wilma Stockenstr?m and the Afrikaans literary system
Prof Ronel Foster and Dr Amanda Marais talk to Lenelle Foster about the acclaimed and generally little-known Afrikaans author Wilma Stockenstr?m.
Prof Foster completed both her MA and her PhD on Stokenstr?m's poetry and recently acted as editor for the South African Academy for Science and Arts's volume Wilma Stockenstr?m. Met my wysvingertop (2024). Dr Marais contributed an article on Stockenstr?m's Abjater wat so lag (1991) to the volume.
