The SU Strategic Fund focuses on initiatives that are directly aligned with the vision, mission and core strategic themes of the 万博体育官网, as contained in Vision 2040 and the Strategic Framework 2019–2024. Funds are allocated in respect of the six core strategic themes of the 万博体育官网 and the associated institutional goals.

The Division for Institutional Strategy, Research and Analytics houses both the secretariat and process manager for the Fund and therefore takes responsibility for its management, administration and provision of support to stakeholders and applicants. In this way the division assists the 万博体育官网's management in aligning strategic funding with the 万博体育官网's strategic goals.


2025-Opportunity

Applications must be submitted electronically via an online platform. Please follow the steps below. Note that submission entails two steps.

?Study the Strategic Fund Regulation to familiarise yourself with the criteria for each category that is open for applications.

?Download and complete the template (Word format) that is applicable to the category selected in point 1 above.

?Complete the online submission form and upload the completed template (Word document).

  • Upon pressing ‘Submit’, you have completed step 1 of the application process.
  • Your application will then be forwarded to your RC Head/Dean (selected in the submission form) for the completion of step 2, the confirmation of their support (through a recommendation) and their approval.
  • For an application to be considered as complete and submitted, both these steps must be completed before the closing date and time.
  • Therefore, please ensure that your RC Head/Dean is aware of the application before you submit it and has time available to complete the process before the closing date and time.
