Access to Assessment Office (AARGO)

The main entrance to Admin A is still closed due to the refurbishment of the main building. Please use the NARGA entrance to Admin A (direction Merriman Avenue) opposite the Natural Science building (no 100 on the campus map). If you do not have access via the NARGA entrance, please press AARGO on the keypad mounted on the wall for staff to give you access. Follow the arrows/signs to the AARGO office on the first floor, and ring the bell at the entrance for further assistance. A2 and A3 assessment-related e?mail enquiries can be sent to stbexams@sun.ac.za.?? Always include your SU student number in the subject line when sending email enquiries.

Resources and contact details

  • The student user guide (Access Exam Table and Concession Letter on Student Portal) may help to resolve assessment-related enquiries. SUNStudent does not have a mobile-friendly interface yet and using a mobile phone to access information on SUNStudent may affect views. It is advisable to use your laptop/computer (and not your mobile phone) to access venue information on your assessment timetable in SUNStudent.?
  • The SU Client Services Centre is the first port of call for enquiries and support. Please feel free to call 021 808 9111 or email info@sun.ac.za. Please note that the Client Services Centre is temporarily based in the Inorganic Chemistry building in Bosman Street (directly opposite Huis Marais) due to the refurbishment of Admin A.
  • If you have any additional queries on your assessment venues, please visit the Assessment Office in Admin A, Room A2075, or email stbexams@sun.ac.za. The Assessment Office remains open in Admin A during the refurbishment of the building (access via the NARGA entrance). 
  • For assessment concession queries — including new emergency concession requests — please send an email to the Disability Unit: concessions@sun.ac.za. Remember to include your student number in the subject line. Students can access their assessment concession letters via the SUNStudent portal. Refer to page 7 of the student user guide for directions.
  • Report any assessment-related matters that may arise during the assessment period to Mrs Ruby Frans at ruby@sun.ac.za.
